Submission to the Senate Community Affairs References Committee inquiry

On 13 June 2017, the Senate referred the matter of the Effectiveness of the Aged Care Quality Assessment and accreditation framework for protecting residents from abuse and poor practices, and ensuring proper clinical and medical care standards are maintained and practised to the Senate Community Affairs References Committee for inquiry and report.

The inquiry and the findings of this matter are of great importance to the Aged Care Complaints Commissioner as well as the people that the Complaints Commissioner aims to help. For this reason, we made a submission to this inquiry.

We can confirm that the committee has decided to accept and publish our submission as public. You can access our submission below, and you can view all other public submissions here.
