Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Announcement

The Minister for Aged Care, The Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP, released a statement on 18 April 2018 announcing the establishment of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. The statement can be found here.

The Commission will be an independent aged care regulatory body, responsible for the approval, accreditation, assessment, monitoring, compliance and complaints management for all Australian Government subsidised aged care providers.

It will commence operations on 1 January 2019 and will initially bring together the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency and the Aged Care Complaints Commissioner.
