The Aged Care Complaints Commissioner utilises a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with partner agencies to outline how we will work together. An MOU enables each agency to undertake their respective statutory functions effectively through agreed engagement and information sharing processes. The Complaints Commissioner has an inter-agency MOU with the:
- The Department of Health which works to delivery quality, affordable and accessible aged care and carer support servicers for older people, through subsidies and grants, industry assistance and training and regulation of the aged care sector.
- Australian Aged Care Quality Agency which promotes high quality care through accreditation and quality standards monitoring and providing information, education and training to the industry.
