Complaints Matter 2017

On 27 April 2017, we will be holding our first ever single day event, Complaints Matter, at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The aim of the event is for aged care consumers and service providers to walk away with an understanding of why complaints matter. We want to highlight the processes of a good complaint and provide best practice tips for resolving complaints to the satisfaction of everyone involved. While the event is catered towards the aged care industry and its consumers, we will be hearing from other industries about their complaint handling experiences.

We have secured Professor Ron Paterson, former NZ Parliamentary Ombudsman and Health Disability Commissioner, and Maggie Beer of the Maggie Beer Foundation to present at the event. We have a speaker from the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission (ACCC) who will talk about the ACCC and the Consumer and a speaker from Medibank who will talk about unlocking the value in customer complaints. The day will include a panel discussion and a practical complaints workshop. Attendees will get to hear from some distinguished presenters and have the chance to interact with opinion leaders and other people passionate about quality aged care.
